Here’s another fun October lunch/dinner. Make your favorite Sloppy Joe recipe (or use the one below – YUM). Put sloppy joe on bottom hamburger bun. Cut out a jack-o-lantern face from cheese (singles or deli) and put on top of sloppy Joe. TADA! You have a fun, creative lunch or dinner that is sure to please!
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small/medium onion chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3/4 teas garlic powder (or 1 clove minced)
- 1 teas ground mustard
- 3/4 cup ketchup (we buy it without high fructose corn syrup)
- 4 teas brown sugar
- salt & pepper to taste
In skillet cook beef with onion & pepper; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer 10-30 minutes to blend flavor. Serve warm on hamburger buns. DELICIOUS! I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t make their own – so easy, so good!

Great idea! We've got sloppy joes on the menu for Friday - my son's bday party! Can't wait to add this fun element!
