Let me show you how to make this easy appetizer recipe!
Dessert Cheese Ball
All you need are a few simple ingredients to make this yummy dessert recipe:
- cream cheese
- butter
- powered sugar
- Oreos or chocolate sandwich cookies
- cocoa powder
- dippers such as pretzels, vanilla wafers, apples, etc.
Sweet Cheese Ball
Although you can make this in a mixer or beat it by hand, I prefer to make mine in my convenient food processor! Dump in 8 oz of cream cheese, 1/2 cup softened butter, 2 cups of powdered sugar, and 3 chocolate sandwich cookie. Turn it on and whip until smooth.
I scoop my mixture into a large ziplock bag and put it in the refrigerator until I’m ready to serve so it hold a shape more easily and is easy to store in the fridge!
Oreo Cream Cheese Balls
Wipe out the food processor and toss in 20 Oreo cookies (with cream filling removed) with 2 tablespoons cocoa powder. Pulse until you have a fine powder.
HINT: Keep coating in a large ziplock bag until ready to coat the cheeseball. THis makes for a quick make-ahead appetizer or dessert!
Oreo Ball Recipe
When you are ready to put the cheese ball together, get out your refrigerated cream cheese ball. Press to make a ball. Now open the bag and plop the large cheese ball in the bag of oreo crumbs. Toss the cookie crumbles around the cheeseball to coat completely and turn it onto a platter. Look how pretty it is!

Cheeseball Recipes
We never have any leftovers, but if you happen to be entertaining a small crowd and have any – you woudl store the cheeseball back in the cookie crumb ziplock back in the referigerator.
HINT: You could make mini cheese balls for a very fancy appetizer that could be served individually!
