Campfire smores recipes
Our family loves camping! It is not only a cheap family vacation, it also allows us to unplug, slow down, and get back to basics. Plus we spend lots of quality time just hanging out and chatting. No camping trip would be complete with out an evening campfire with Smores! But this trip we had some bananas to use up and we were trying to going low carb so I came up with these Campfire S’more Split. This campfire smores recipe is amazingly delicious and surprisingly nutritious too! You’ll definitely want to try campfire smores on your next trip. It is a quick and easy way to make smores camping.
Campfire smores
All you need to make these Smore Bananana splits are a few simple materials:
Ingredients:
- foil
- banana
- 3 squares of Hershey chocolate bar
- 2 marshmallows
- Graham Cracker crumbles (we use the broken crackers no one wants for s’mores anyway)
- hot coals
Smores Camping
On a sheet of foil put a ripe banana and slice it down the side. Insert 3 chocolate squares and marshmallows broken in half.
Hint: We leave the banana in the peel so that when kids are eating it they won’t accidentally eat any foil.

Add some graham cracker crumbs (we use the broken crackers no one wants to use anyway). Now pull up the sides and fold them over at the top to seal.

Now place on warm embers or coals and until the chocolate and marshmallows melt. (you can peak in the foil, but it will be about 5 minutes)
You are going to be amazed at the creamy texture, and amazing flavor of this Campfire S’more Split. Just grab a spoon and dig in!
I am not one who likes soft bananas usually, but with them warm it is d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s!
