Carmel Snack Mix Recipe

You aren’t going to be able to put down this delicious new snack mix. The sweet cereal is very satisfying and will be enjoyed equally by kids, family, or friends.

In a saucepan over medium-high heat mix the butter, corn syrup and brown sugar until it comes to a boil (about 8 minutes):

add baking soda

Cook while boiling for 1 minute; remove from heat and mix in 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.

Mix together  9 cups of corn square cereal & 9 cups of rice square cereal and spread in 2 parchment paper lined pans.

Toss cereal square with carmel snack mix

Pour caramel syrup over chex cereal and gently toss to mix, but not smash cereal. Bake 45 minutes at 250 F (Mixing once)

Pull parchment paper out of pan and allow cereal to cool thoroughly on parchment paper.

add in nuts and chocolate pieces

Add 1 cup nuts and 1 cup M & M  and break apart caramel snack mix. Store in air tight container.

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 9 cups corn cereal
  • 9 cups rice cereal
  • 1 cup M & M, nuts, etc.
