Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
Not all cookies are made the same. The subtle differences in cooking time, quantity of flour, and other minute differences really make the difference in the cookie. These cookie are soft, chewy, and perfect! No flat cookies thanks to my secret….. I add baking soda AND baking powder to all my cookies. Try it – you’ll never go back!
Blend together the butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until creamy.
Now mix the baking powder, baking soda, salt, oats, and flour until combined only – do not over mix?
Add in 1 cup of walnuts. (optional)
Add in 1-2 cups of chocolate chips depending on how chocolatey you like your cookies.
Note: These are super yummy with butterscotch, vanilla, or peanut butter chips instead too!
Drop cookies on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes exactly at 325 F.
Allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before moving to a cooling wrack.
Serve with a glass of cold milk for a satisfying afternoon snack.
