Christmas Cookies that are delicious, easy to make, and fun for kids to help make in the kitchen.
Here is one of the simplest, prettiest looking, fun-to-make, great gift recipes! My kids & I have so much fun making these together. They really are very simple – 4 ingredients and are tons of fun for little helpers to make! I got this fun recipe from my dear friend Martha!
Oreo Ball Recipe
Here’s what you need:
- – Package of Oreo cookies (we like the Target brand just fine) – the mint ones are especially good in this!
- – 8 oz cream cheese (any brand/fat – we like the Target brand for this too)
- – Vanilla or Almond Bark
- – Sprinkles (or crushed nuts, chocolate, etc)
Put the sandwich cookies in a Ziploc bag & let your kiddos go nuts smushing them up! (I let them use the smooth side of my meat mallet)
Add 8oz cream cheese to bag & squish together until well blended
Shape into balls (I do walnut size) and put on parchment lined cookie sheet. Put in fridge to harden 30 minutes or so.
Melt vanilla, almond, or even chocolate in microwave (per package directions). Mix in food coloring if you like, Dip balls in candy to coat. Let your kiddos go nuts sprinkling or dip them right into nuts.
These are delicious to eat!! Plus they make a great thank you gift for a Sunday School teacher (like we did this year) or for friends. But make sure you have enough for your family to eat – they are delicious! Kind of like a bon bon!
