Family Favorite Sweet Chli Recipe #recipes #yummy #souprecipes

Did you know that Fall is only 2 weeks away?! Fall is our families favorite season. I don't know if it is Brisk mornings, the beauty of colorful falling leaves, going to the pumpkin patch or the warm soups with homemade bread.  But whatever it is, it is our favorite!

Fall means soup time in our family. I know some kids bawk at soup, but we all LOVE our soups! We have a wide variety & they always hit the spot and warm us up!

Sweet Chili Recipe

Start the sweet chili with a special, secret ingredient - bacon!

In a large stock pot cook 4-6 slices of cut up bacon over medium high heat until it looks about half way done – just about 2-3 minutes.
Note: We use nitrate free bacon.

Add 1 chopped pepper

Add a chopped pepper (any color) to the bacon and continue to cook another 34 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add ground beef and cook until cooked through

Add 1 lb ground beef and continue to cook until book is thoroughly cooked.
Note: We use organic, 100% grass fed and finished beef.

Beef, bacon, and peppers all perfectly cooked

Here is what your beef should look like at this point.

Add your tomato sauce, baked beans, and seasoning

Now add the remaining ingredients and continue cooking until heated thoroughly, about 7-8 more minutes.
  • 33oz Box of Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 cup molasses or brown sugar
  • 1 teas dry mustard
  • 2 x 16 oz can of baked beans
  • 1 teas salt
  • 1/2 teas black pepper
  • 1-2 cups corn (optional)

  2. I have made something similar called Aloha Chili. The only difference is the addition of some crushed pineapple. :)
