Snowman Math
Print as many cards as you need for the set of students in your class. These cards have to laminated so you’re able to use the dry erase markers on them. You can however print four on one page and use them as worksheets! That can work too!
Counting Snowmen
Have the laminated cards ready in a basket or in a neat pile on the desk. Have each learner pick one card at a time. They will then count the number of snowballs that the snowman is made of, show that number using mini erasers or counters in the empty box. They will then trace the number digit and the number word below using a dry erase marker.
You can have the younger prek students working on numbers 1-5 to begin with. These cards can easily be differentiated with your learners. You can also cut out the bottom part of the cards if you don’t want the kids tracing their numbers after they’ve completed the card.
Snowman counting activity
This activity is hands-on and perfect for kids to use when they need a refresher or some more counting games and activities. As an added activity, you can place two cards and have kids add up the number of snowballs they have altogether between two cards. This can of course b supervised and a great way to practice addition.
