Gather all your ingredients:

  • salt
  • vegetable oil
  • cream of tartar
  • water
  • pink food coloring 
  • bubble gum flavoring (I got it at hobby lobby)
Mix all the ingredients into a pan and heat over medium heat. Stir frequently. When it starts to clump together and no longer sticks to your hands, then you can take it off the stove. Knead with flour on a cutting board.

  • bubblegum flavoring found at hobby lobby

    First, in a medium bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cream of tartar and salt. Set aside.

    In a medium nonstick pot over medium heat, add the oil and crayon. Stir constantly until the crayon is melted. Now Add the water and food coloring (optional to intensify colors) to the pot and expect the wax to separate from the water.
