frozen berry crisp

Remove from the oven, place on a wire rack, and allow to cool for at least 7-10 minutes before serving.
frozen berry crumble
This recipe works equally well with frozen or fresh berries. Frozen berries are convenient and picked at their peak of freshness. Fresh berries always feel like summer when we pick them from our berry bushes, u-pick farms, or farmer’s markets.
If you use frozen berries, thaw the berries and drain excess liquid in a strainer. You can do this by putting the bag in a tupperware (in case the bag leaks) overnight in the fridge or put the frozen berries in the strainer and run water over them until they are thawed – about 5 minutes.

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
The berries are bursting with flavor that makes it feel like summer. The crumble topping makes it just sweet enough with semi-tart berries for a perfect, not-too-sweet summer dessert everyone will love.
