Firework Activities

All you need to try this simple, fun-to-make fire work craft:

  • firework template (see FREE printable at bottom of post)
  • liquid glue (we like to use Elmer’s school glue)
  • salt (any variety)
  • watercolor paint (you know the cheap kind with 6 colors in it)
  • paintbrush

Fourth of July Crafts

Pick one of the firework template provided below or make your own free style on cardstock. You will put Elmer’s school glue on each spot on the template.

Shake the glue painted fireworks with table salt.  Now shake the picture over a garbage can to remove any excess salt.

Independence Day Craft Ideas

Take your paint brush and dip it in water and then your water color paint pallet to get the color wet so the color comes off. Once your paintbrush has the color on the brush, gently touch the brush to the salt. You will see the color come off on the salt.

When you are ready to switch to a new color, dip your brush in a bowl of water and shake until the brush is clean. Dip in a new clor and repeat.
