All you need to make this pretty March craft for kids are a few simple materials:

  • black glue or use glitter black glue (you can add powerdered black tempera paint to a glue bottle and mix well to make your own black glue)
  • colorful sharpie markers
  • hard plastic (from packaging, spinach container lid, page protector, or laminated pouch)
  • scissors
  • tape (to hang your diy suncatcher)

Start off by printing off the template you’d like. Put your plastic over the template you want to use. Trace the lines of the picture on the plastic with black glue.

Once you have finished tracing all the black lines of the project, remove the template from underneath. Allow the project to complety dry.

Next up you are going to color in each individual space of your project with a different sharpie marker. Remember that sharpies are permanent markers to please choose your space appropriately and consider placing a cardboard scrap underneath and supervising your child’s coloring.
