Consonant Blends Final

Consonant blends are a combination of two or more consonant sounds that are heard when pronouncing a word. When these blends occur at the end of a word, they are referred to as final consonant blends. Examples of final consonant blends include “-ct” in the word “act” and “-st” in the word “nest.”

Final consonant blends can be found in many English words and are important to understand for proper pronunciation. They add complexity and diversity to the language, making it more interesting and dynamic.
