To make learning these spellings fun and interactive, I have some fun clip cards to work on the “air” sound. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Print off clip cards on card stock paper.
  • Laminate the cards for durability.
  • Provide a dry-erase marker.
  • Gather some clothespins.

Here’s how you can use the clip cards with your child:

  1. Show the Picture: Present a picture to your child and ask them to say the name of the picture. Use the cheat sheet to help identify each picture if needed.
  2. Clip the Correct Spelling: Have your child place a clothespin on the correct “air” spelling on the card.
  3. Spell the Word: Ask them to spell the word under the picture using the dry-erase marker.
