Children need lots of practice to get the hang of adding number together. As they start out with addition to 5 they will love practicing with addition games. After printing out all of the pages, I recommend laminating the game board for durability.

Also included are two pages of cards that will need to be cut out and again, laminated for durability. You may wish to print off multiple copies of these cards to use.

Children will also need a colored counter to play this game.

To play the game, give the children the game boards. They will need one counter for each player.

Shuffle the cards and place them face down next to the game board.

The first player picks up the card on the top of the file. They read the equation and work out the answer.

They then move to the closest square on the game board using the answer to the equation.

Player two, then has their go.

The winner is the player that reaches the finish square first.
