Punctuation Practice for 1st Graders

Here is another great game for kids to practice skills they are learning at school. This game is geared at 1st graders, but can be easily adapted to K-2nd graders.

FREE Dinosaur Bones Punctuation Game for 1st Graders
Print out cards on cardstock with optional front. During your turn draw 1 card. Cards are simple sentences with vocabulary at 1st grade level. Move a marker to the next punctuation that matches the card you read. Now it is the next player’s turn. Continue drawing on your turn until you end up at the Finish. For Kindergartners you can read the card to them.

This game is great practice for early readers as well as practice using correct punctuation in a fun way! Kids learn better when they are having fun! I store this is a file folder.

  3. This is GREAT!!! I love the dinosaur theme! We are working on punctuation right now too, so it's perfect timing!!! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thank you!!! We have been looking for dinosaur themes for our 1st grader. Thank you!!!

  5. Why is this offered for free download here and for 1.99 in your Teachers Pay Teachers store? I just bought it and now found it here (looking for instructions on how to, play since those were not included in the 1.99 download). I feel ripped off.

    1. Chelle,

      Most of my printables are free for personal families to use and for homeschooling families. They can be purchased for teachers to use in group setting in my TPT store. Thanks for the heads up about the instructions in the TPT edition, I will get that updated ASAP.

      If you are a homeschooler, I'm glad you found me and a I encourage you to follow along where you will always keep up-to-date with all my FREEBIES for homeschooling families. If you are a teacher I am sure you appreciate the enormous amount of time preparing educational printable takes and therefore why I feel it is appropriate to charge (only $1.99) for use in group setting to help offset my time to provide for my family.

      Have a great day!
      Beth =)
