Handprint crafts

We did this ocean craft for kids to go along with our O is for Ocean week.¬† The kids had so much fun & I have a precious keepsake from these treasured early years! Once you’ve gathered your supplies, head to a spot without carpet and have children roll up sleeves and pants.¬† Now paint your child’s foot bottom with the red paint. This was a fun activity for the kids; great sensory activity. They loved the feeling of the cool paint & the paint bristles tickled their feet.

Help your child carefully press their foot on the white paper to make a footprint. You will want to guide them so the impression doesn’t smear as they lift their foot carefully. If everything looks good, go ahead and wipe foot clean with a wipe to avoid any messes.

Now it’s time to paint both your child’s hands red. Once the pams and fingers are full (but not dripping) with paint, it’s time to make handprints above the foot print. You want the hands to be about 4-6″ above the foot print with the handprint marks to the right and left of the footprint.
