We are always looking for creative seasonal crafts and kids activities. We made this creative packing peanut craft with dyed styrofoam peanuts and a squash or gourd. This really fun turkey crafts for preschoolers, kindergartens, grade 1, grade 2, and grade 3 students will be a fun centerpiece for Autumn and your Thanksgiving dinner table!
You need several cups of dyed packing peanuts (<—- here is how we did it). I love that these styrofoam peanutswere easy to color and we could use them for several fun fall crafts!

My nine year old was able to stick in his wood skewers by himself. A preschool or kindergartner could easily do this craft, but help them with sticking the 6-7 skewers in the back of the squash.

Then your child just pushes the dyed packing peanuts over the skewers, filling them to the top.
