Turkey Packing Peanut Craft for Thanksgiving

Kids of all ages will love making this super cute Turkey Craft out of dyed packing peanuts. This easy Thanksgiving, fall, and turkey crafts for kids is not only fun to make, but makes a great decoration for the month of November. This packing peanut crafts is perfect for preschool, pre k, kindergarten, first grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade students.

Turkey Craft

We are always looking for creative seasonal crafts and kids activities. We made this creative packing peanut craft with dyed styrofoam peanuts and a squash or gourd. This really fun turkey crafts for preschoolers, kindergartens, grade 1, grade 2, and grade 3 students will be a fun centerpiece for Autumn and your Thanksgiving dinner table!

Packing peanut crafts

You need several cups of dyed packing peanuts (<—- here is how we did it).  I love that these styrofoam peanuts were easy to color and we could use them for several fun fall crafts!

Turkey Craft

My nine year old was able to stick in his wood skewers by himself.  A preschool or kindergartner could easily do this craft, but help them with sticking the 6-7 skewers in the back of the squash.

Easy Thanksgiving Crafts

Then your child just pushes the dyed packing peanuts over the skewers, filling them to the top.

Aren’t they pretty turkey feathers? And I love that it is a 3D, textured turkey craft.

Thanksgiving Craft Ideas

When your feathers are all complete use glue to attach google eyes and a construction paper beak, wattle, and feet.

This makes such a cute Thanksgiving centerpiece!
