## Thanksgiving Printables

We have included a variety of designs for the puzzles. This will help keep the excitement and engagement up, while still strengthening these important skills.Ā  Ā We designed these simple puzzles to work on numbers 1-20. This is a great place to start for most preschoolers or even kindergarteners.Ā

There are four different puzzle designs that incorporate different Thanksgiving themed images:

• Pilgrim House and pilgrim boy and girl Count to 10 Puzzle
• large orange pumpkin and apple pie count to 10 puzzle
• Plymouth Colony with pilgrims count to 15 puzzle
• Delicious turkey dinner count to 15 puzzle
• Thanksgiving Cornacopia with pumpkin, corn on the cob, apple, and grapes count to 20 puzzle
• Mayflower ship the pilgrims used to sail to the New World count to 20 puzle

## Thanksgiving math activities for preschoolers

You can use the puzzle in color or black and white versions. If you use the blackline template children can use crayons, markers, and colored pencils to decorate and colour their puzzle before working on number order.

After you print the puzzles that you want, cut the puzzle strips. We did not follow the traditional puzzle piece theme, because this makes it more simple and easier to focus on the numbers themselves, which is the point of the activity.Ā

If you choose to laminate, this would be the time to do so. I like to laminate activities such as this to help them last longer. Little hands can rip paper very easily, as Iā€™m sure you know!Ā Once they are laminated and cut apart, they can be set out to put together.Ā

For children that are in the beginning stages of learning to recognize numbers and counting, I would put the puzzle pieces separated, but in order. This will help children learn to recognize the numbers without the pressure of having to put them in order as well.

To add a challenge, the pieces can be mixed around and even put upside down.Ā
