### How to Play

Print out the game boards. Print one for independent play and multiple boards for group play. Laminate them for durability.

Then, all you need is some small counters or bingo chips, a paper clip, and a pencil for play. Use the pencil and paper clip to create a spinner, and then you’re all set for some fun turkey-themed play.

### Skills Covered

• Syllables: Kids will spin the spinner. Then, cover a picture with that many syllables. There are fourteen images with 1, 2, or 3 syllables.
• Number Sense: Spin the spinner, and cover a turkey that represents the number you landed on.
• Ending Sounds: Cover a picture that ends with the sound the spinner landed on.
• Word Families: There are five word families featured. Give the spinner a spin, and cover a picture that goes with that word family.
• Rhyming Words: There are five rhymes to match on this game board.
• Short Vowels: Each of the five vowels is featured on this game board. Spin and cover each one.
• Long Vowels: Some of the images are multi-syllabic, but each has one long vowel sound for kids to hear.
• Shapes: Spin the spinner, and find an item that is the same shape as the one you landed on.

### For Multi-Players

This would be a great activity for partner play. Each child takes a turn spinning the spinner on his own game board. If the spinner lands on something that is already all covered up, the player skips that turn. Play continues until one child fills their entire game board.
