Multiplication Math BINGO

Setting Up the Game

  • Hand out one bingo card and a set of chips or markers to each player.
  • Clearly explain the rules. Players will mark the answer to a multiplication problem called out by the host on their bingo card. If they have that answer on their card, they can place a chip on it!
  • Choose a designated caller (this could be a teacher, parent, or even one of the kids) who will read out multiplication problems from your call list.

Playing the Game

  1. The caller picks a multiplication problem card and reads it aloud. For example, “What is 3 times 4?”
  2. As players listen, they should calculate the answer. If they have the answer (in this case, 12) on their bingo card, they place a chip on that square.
  3. The caller continues to read out multiplication problems until someone gets five in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) and shouts “Bingo!”

Extension Ideas

  • To increase the challenge, consider adding a timer for each question to encourage quick thinking!
  • Have small prizes for the winners—this keeps everyone motivated and excited!
