I’ve covered various topics with the kids about the weather, but really wanted to make sure I covered it all (if there is such a thing =-) So I put together all the weather stuff I could possibly dream up in this mega 40 page Weather Unit! I wanted to keep it fun, appealing to both kids (so there are activities appropriate for ages 3-9), and educational. Here are some of the topics I cover:
- Water Cycle (including experiments)
- Seasons (including creative writing)
- Temperature (differences in sun/shade, morning/afternoon, here/other countries)
- Weather Graphing
- Hot/Cold
- Hibernation
- Clouds (including experiments)
- Wind (including experiment & activity)
- Disaster Preparedness (including drill ideas)
- Preschool Skill Practice (letters – upper/lowercase, shadow match, counting, pre-writing, colors, numbers, which is different, fine motor scissor skills, addition, sentence structure, and more)
I found a way to put all the PDF’s together for one convenient download, please let me know what you think. Below is just a sampling of the pages included. I am happy to share my work and hopefully save some other hardworking parents some time!! Just remember these are for your families personal use. Please do not sell or host anywhere else. I am also happy to have you share this post with others (the more the merrier), just please do not link others to the download only file. Thanks =-) I also LOVE hearing from people who are able to make use of my packs – it let’s me know that it is something others appreciate, can use, and encourages me =-)

ReplyDeleteThank you!!! I am totally using this with my high school Autism classes!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your printables and I found you via pinterest. We are new to homeschooling and used them as part of our weather unit. We are blogging about it at http://homeschoolvoyager.blogspot.com/ We will be giving you credit and linking back here!!! Thanks so much
ReplyDeleteJust as a note - DO NOT CLICK THE BIG DOWNLOAD BUTTONS that say they will download a pdf reader. I did this first and it downloaded a virus onto my computer and changed all of my computer settings. To get the 40 page unit, click on the large picture with all of the pages fanned out. Just a friendly FYI. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! One thing I wanted to mention though, anyone doing anything on severe weather, make sure that you are not teaching to rely on the outside sirens. Those are for people who are outdoors ONLY. You want to either get a severe weather app on your phone (if you have the kind of phone that uses apps) or get a weather radio. Learned this from experience after a tornado hit our town in 2011. Fortunately, there were no injuries from that but the siren that was located in the area that was hit was not functional.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sharing best tips..Love it

ReplyDeleteHi Beth! So glad you stopped by Preschool Printables =) We're a huge fan of your printables and appreciate your willingness to share your creativity!
ReplyDeleteI just changed the feature to reflect the updates; the links/anchor text to reflect the new blog name and the author credit. I have NO idea where I got the name Crystal... I work with numerous blogs each day and I can only imagine that I 'borrowed' a name from somewhere else. Oh dear! So sorry!
Hope you have a great day!
Kayla
No problem Kayla! Just wanted to make sure you knew who I was and how to reflect the name change for any future shares =)
DeleteHope you have a nice day too!
