These super cute make way for ducking worksheets are super handy if you are reading this classic book by Rober McCloskey. We used the make way for ducking printables when we were doing the Five in a Row series for some no-prep make way for ducking activities. Make Way for Ducklings Worksheets

We are kicking off our school year with several Five in a Row Units. The first is the classic book Make Way for Ducklings  by Robert McCloskey.  I never like to add work to my plate so I checked around first to see if there was a printable pack already made. There wasn’t; so here is what I whipped up. The pages below are just a sampling of what you’ll find in the {free} Make Way for Ducklings Literature Pack for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergartners, and grade 1 students.

We also fed ducks (and geese) in our ‘neighborhood’. (Note: this picture is when Goofy was 3! It was such a fun picture I just had to include it!)

And we learned about shadows (this activity was based on the picture of the policeman Michael in the story whose hand cast a shadow as he stopped the cards to let Mr. & Mrs. Mallard cross the street.) We watched how our shadows changed through the day.

Kids will have fun practicing tracing, learning key words, counting, adding, learning the letter d, identifying colors and more with these FREE Make Way for Duckling Worksheets.
