Anyone else’s kids getting bored with the meals we are cooking these days? Our family was having some issues with this. It seemed like we were making the same things over and over and it was time for a switch up! Lunches are the hardest for me to find new and interesting things, so I did some research and wanted to share my findings with you. All of these are easy and fun lunch ideas for kids. If you’re sick of the same old lunches, these fun lunch ideas for kids are perfect for at school, at home, or as you homeschool!
Fun Lunch Ideas For Kids

Sushi is a fan favorite, but fruit sushi is the best for kids!
If your kids are more independent or if you need them to be, setting up a lunch station is a simple idea.
Kebobs are always fun. These are super simple and healthy too! Kids will love these. Try these grilled cheese kebobs too!
Chocolate hummus & fruit is a sweet treat that I know my kids would love to see on the lunch table.
Ocean themed Lunch – We made a blue jello ocean with a banana island with a strawberry mountain and cherry flag. We added a smaller mandarin orange island. Finally, we added a baked potato boat with bacon people and a slice of cheddar cheese made into a triangle sail.
Do your kids love apples? These apple sandwiches would be delicious for any lunch!
PB&Js are a classic lunch for kids but how fun is it to take it one step further, like with these hands!
Another classic sandwich is grilled cheese. You can make them a little more fun by rolling them up or making them into dippers!
Corn dogs are fun too, but it’s much simpler to make corn dog muffins!
Bug Lunch – The kids & I were talking about bugs in our homeschool preschool this day. So I made a buggy lunch. We’ve got ants on a log (raisins on peanut buttered celery), black olive half cockroaches, snails (apple quarter with peanut butter & walnut antennae), and strawberry with chocolate sauce ladybugs.
These baked raviolis are a fun finger food perfect for lunch!
Egg Salad Sandwiches are so easy to make, meal prep for the week and of course delicious!
