Happy New Year! Remember when we said that last time? We all hoped 2025 would be amazing? This year I am hoping for the same thing, but not the same as 2025. Let’s turn this back around. Kids may not know all the crazy things that happened in this year, so there is no reason why they can’t celebrate entering into 2025.

Printable new years eve hats
If you are celebrating new years with kids making sure you plan some fun new year activities are a must. This DIY hat is filled with fun shapes and objects that are typical New Years things. Like confetti, balloons, stars, a clock, rockets, etc. These are all things that kids can color, because these hats come in black and white. Kids can create their hat however they would like to!
We colored ours with colored pencils, but you could use watercolor paints, markers or crayons too.

You’ll also need:
- Scissors
- Tape / Glue Stick
I waited to cut the hat out until my daughter colored hers. I felt like it was easier for her to color it as a full sheet, versus the smaller pieces. Once it is colored how your child wants it, the next step is cutting each piece out.

This set includes the front hat (it says Happy New Year 2025 on it), and 4 strips. The strips are what make the hat capable of staying on kids’ heads. There are four, so you can make it as little or as big as you need.
Lay the hat front face down on the table. Take the straps and place them face down also. Bring them to the side of the hat and tape on. This is optional, but I turned the hat face up and taped the sides too so that the strips were very secure.

THe next step in making your new year’s crafts for preschoolers is to measure the hat on your child’s head and tape the back accordingly.
