Fun activities for teaching verbs

Materials:

  • Construction paper in various colours (think sunshine yellow for the daisies and green for the stems), however you can print the given sheet on cardstock
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Markers
  • Pipe cleaners (optional, for added flair)
  • Action verb list: this is included in the PDF, verbs like “run,” “jump,” “play,” “sing,” “laugh,” and so on. You can tailor the list to a specific theme or age group.

  1. Flower Power: Cut out the daisies, have the kids read the verbs on them.
