As part of my continued effort to bring you great homeschool resources including helping you understand how to homeschool - I have a new free printable to help you finish your homeschool year. Here are free homeschool report cards for Preschool-6th Grade, including Kindergarten report cards!

FREE Printable Homeschool Report Cards

As I was working with all the cute graphics to make my School Memory Pages I thought how cute it would be to make coordinating report cards. Cute, right?!

Should your Homeschool Student have a Report Card?

Now, right off the bat I want to tell you that I am not doing grades for my 1st grader or Preschooler. I am much more interested in having them actually understand the material! If they don’t understand something I am not going to just give them a bad grade and move on. We are going to reteach, practice, and reevaluate if they comprehend the material.  I don’t want them to be worried about grades – isn’t that one of the perks of Homeschooling?!?

Why your Homeschool Student Should have a Report Card

However it is nice to kind of check things off in the Preschool & Kindergarten Report Cards to assure myself that they have mastered what their public school peers have. And it will be nice to make notes of how well Goofy has done in the different subjects to look back at in the years to come. Plus, I know some homeschoolers HAVE to keep these kind of records and submit them. So I went ahead and made report cards for kids Preschool – 6th grade. After 6th grade I know I will reevaluate how I keep records to ensure the kids can prove their knowledge to colleges.

Homeschool Report Cards Coordinate with FREE School Memory Pages

FREE! Six Homeschool Report Card Choices

6 Report Card Backs (so you can choose the one that works best for your particular child/family).  There is a specific one for Kindergarten, several options using subjects as the criteria and grading either (Outstanding, Satisfactory, Needs Improvement, Incomplete) OR standard grades (A,B,C,D,F,I), and options for using one based on checking off areas completed.

I would recommend waiting until 4th or 5th grade to begin accessing actual grades. At that point it is good prep for the Jr.High/High School years (this is just my opinion).

Note: Make sure you check your local regulations for specific homeschool requirements in your area. This is intended to be a free useful tool, but is not legal advice =-)

  3. SUPER amazing. I just found your resources via another blog I follow. Our little guy is just 10 months old, but we plan to homeschool and I'm stocking up on free resources while I have time to search for them :) I can totally see us using your report cards. They're really nice. Thank you so much for sharing them. Additionally, I love what you wrote about why you're sharing for free. We're Christians, too, and this is *not* my forté--but other things are :) May our Father bless your family.
