Puffy Snow Paint

There are lots of recipes out there to show you how to make puffy paint. But you will love our quick and easy puffy paint recipe the best!  This DIY Puffy Paint recipe gives a wonderful fluffy texture, but unlike other recipes, will actually dry puffy so you can hang your pictures! It is fun to paint and admire hanging on your walls.

Snow Paint

To make our puffy snow paint all you need is 4 simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. Mix together in a medium size bowl:

If you’d like sparkly, shimmering snow paint add in glitter. Mix.

Using a paintbrush or spoon, make a snowman on a piece of construction paper.

Puffy Paint Snowman

Now it’s time to decorate your snowman! This puffy snow paint recipe is perfect because it allows enough time for kids (or adults) to decorate their snowman so that the accessories stick. Yet it doesn’t take days like some recipes! This one will be dry to the touch within about 30 minutes, although you can still stick things in by giving them a little push for another hour if you need to.

Window Art

We turned some of our puffy snow paint into stunning winter window art! We used a glue stick ton the inside of a laminator sheet, sprinkled with glitter / snowflakes, close the sheet and laminated. Then we made our snowman on the laminator sheet. We hung our winter art project on the window for some truly beautiful artwork we will enjoy all winter long!

    1. Can you make this paint in advance and keep in air tight container?

      1. If you need to make it ahead I would try a small batch to make sure. It is SO QUICK to make we just made it on the spot.

      1. sure, just make sure you don’t put it on so thick that gravity takes hold before it dries =) Should clean off with windex or your favorite window cleaner.
