I hope January’s meal planner saves you precious time planning so you can spend it with your kids making snowmen, drinking hot cocoa, and playing with your kids!  This month features Crockpot Wednesday – so dinner time is quick and easy before Wednesday church activities.

If you’ve never used our free monthly family meal planner you are in for a treat. I’ve done all the work for you. Each month includes 4 weeks of meals, recipes, and weekly printable grocery items. You will even find seasonal recipes – and it’s all FREE! My meals are an outcome of me striving to feed my family better – organically, nutritiously, and still yummy food! Oh, and did I mention eat on a budget! Our family feels these meals are:

January Meal Planner

In January it’s time to sever comfort food that not only warms our bellies, but also our homes as it cooks. Get ready for some seasonal favorites and warm-you-up soups.   Our meal plan feeds our family of 5.  So for all you busy moms out there – dinner is served {and you didn’t even have to plan it!}

Week 1:





Monday Fruit & Granola (use coconut oil) Spanish Rice with Hot Dogs** Classic Tortilla Soup** fruit
Tuesday Oatmeal w/ fruit Refried Bean Burritos with homemade taco shells (save 1/2 for tomorrow’s lunch) Soufflé** string cheese
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit Pizza Quesadilla (with leftover taco shells) Crockpot BBQ SandwichesCrockpot BBQ Sandwiches on Sandwich Buns (makes enough for 2 meals) popcorn
Thursday Blueberry Muffin Leftover BBQ Sandwiches baked beans & fresh bread** Granola
Friday Farmer Eggs** with 2-3 potatoes, 1 pepper  & 2 eggs per person)
with juice
Baked potato with cheese, sour cream, and broccoli Peanut Linguini**
Green Beans

*only eat 1/2 hummus
Saturday Waffles** with maple syrup leftovers Cheese & Veggie Pizza

*save 1 pizza crust for Monday

*Granola makes 20-24 servings – save the rest for other days on menu (keeps in air tight container for 2-3 weeks)

Monday Fruit & Granola Calzone (using saved crust) with pepperoni (optional) Sweet Chili with Buttery Cornbread** bell pepper with humus (leftover)
Tuesday Oatmeal with fruit Leftover et Chili & Cornbread Angel Hair Brushetta with Spinach salad (with balsamic vinegrette & walnuts) fruit
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit Refried Bean Burritos with homemade taco shells (save 1/2 for Friday’s lunch) Crockpot BBQ Roast with Confetti Couscous String Cheese
Thursday Banana Bread Leftover BBQ Roast or PBJ Sandwiches Stir Fry (Vegetarian with 1 cup nuts) fruit
Friday Fried Eggs + Fruit Tortilla spread with cream cheese & topped with cooked bacon Lemon Chicken** with buttered potatoes and peas popcorn
Saturday pancakes leftover Cheese & Veggie Pizza cucumber slices
Sunday Smoothie Blueberry Pork Chops** over brown Rice with Green Beans Tortilla Espanola** with “french” bread fruit

Treat: Maple Peanut Butter Yummies


Week 3:

Monday Fruit & Granola Spinach Salad with deviled eggs Red Beans & Rice** fruit
Tuesday Oatmeal with fruit Fruit, bread** cheese, kabobs Italian Tortellini Soup** granola
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit Leftover Italian Tortellini Soup
Slow Cooker Pineapple Chicken

Tuesday Oatmeal with fruit tuna sandwich on tortilla shells (save 1/2 for tomorrow) & fruit Spaghetti Squash w/sauce + cheese + Green Beans granola
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit refried bean burritos
+ tortilla shells (leftover)
Crockpot Stroganoff Beef over Linguini with Green Beans fruit
Thursday Sweet Potato Muffins *use coconut oil and 1/2 sugar Leftover Stroganoff & noodles  
Veggie Burgers on homemade buns
Sweet Potato Fries
Friday Scrambled Eggs
Potatoes & Green Peppers
Cobb Salad Reuben Sandwiches with fruit popcorn

But I think it will be more helpful to you if you just read the menu {this post} on your smart phone, ipad, or computer. All the recipes are hyperlinked for your convenience! {This is how I am cooking now too}

You can also pull up your shopping list from your smart phone, but I know sometimes it is easier to print this off to add your own notes {things you already have, add’l household supplies you need, etc.} Each weekly shopping list contains everything you need to make the recipes that week.  Easy Peasy!
