Bingo musical instruments
Ready to play? Here are the instructions:
- Start by gathering the instrument bingo boards, cut calling cards, and markers or chips to cover your bingo squares. You can use anything from coins to colorful paper squares, or musical paper clips.
- Choose a Bingo Caller: Select a bingo caller (typically a teacher or parent) who will call out the names of the instruments of the calling cards they draw from a bag or hat. HINT: Add to the experience by playing a short audio clip of each instrument instead—this adds an exciting twist and gives players a chance to guess!
- Distribute the bingo cards and some pieces to mark their cards to each player
- Playing the Game: The caller will randomly announce the instruments either by name or by playing their sound. Players will listen carefully and mark off the corresponding instrument on their cards.
- Win Prizes: The first player to complete a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) shouts “Bingo!” and wins! You can have a small prize ready for the winner, such as music-themed goodies, a gift card to a music store, or even a fun homemade trophy. You might even play for multiple rounds and keep the fun going!
- Mix Things Up: To keep the game fresh, consider changing the rules slightly as you play. You could try variations like “Four Corners” (mark the four corners of the card) or “Blackout” (cover the entire card to win). The more you play, the more you can experiment with different themes and variations!
