Compound words encourage children to attempt to read and write more complex words. These compound word little readers are excellent for Kindergarten and Grade 1 children who are beginner readers but are keen to tackle a new level.

How to prepare

Download these books at the bottom of this post. Print off whichever pages you wish to use onto paper. Follow the instructions in the printable to cut a slit and fold each page into a book.

How to use
