This week we talked about how Jesus has power over evil in our sunday school lessons from Matthew 8:28-34. Her is a fun, easy-to-make Jesus Wins trophy craft for a lesson how Jesus dealt with evil spirits.
Our Sunday school lesson was how Jesus restored two demon possessed men from Matthew 8:28-34 by allowing the demons to go into a herd of pigs.
Since we had already done a Bible Pig Craft earlier this year we focused on how Jesus always triumphs over evil.
Jesus Heals the Demon Possessed Man Activities
As the kids were entering they wrote (or drew) pictures of things they were afraid of and created a long paper chain.
It was very interesting to talk with the kids about their fears – monsters, thunderstorms, tornados, Mommy dying, etc.
At the end of the activity we told them that in today’s Bible story, we will learn about a man who was so scary to the people around him that they put him in chains. We used the chain as a visual aid in telling the Bible story.
Jesus has Power over Evil Craft
We made this Trophy Craft I shared before Fathers day. On the bottom we attached clear labels with Jesus Wins and the passage we read in Sunday School.
We pointed out that Jesus is Lord over all things, good and evil. This means whenever there’s a battle between good and evil, Jesus always wins!
The kids had a BLAST with this craft and were so proud of the trophies they made!
