Homemade Recipes

The world is different than it was even a month ago. I know everyone feels and sees at least slightly the changes that have occurred. One thing that we have noticed is that the convenient things we used to be able to ‘run and grab’ are either not available or very limited. That is when we back up a little and realize that we are capable of making these things on our own. Yes, it is much more convenient to snag a loaf of bread or jar of pasta sauce from the grocery store, but when that isn’t possible, we can make our own! I started collecting recipe ideas and realized that this is a must share. So here are 50+ MUST HAVE Recipes For Those In Isolation.

DIY Recipes

Most of these recipes are food, but there are so many household recipes I have included too! These are all great for using pantry staples and making things that you might otherwise not be able to get to right now.

Homemade Breakfast

Bagels in any form are a great item to have stock of. These bagels can also be stored in the freezer!

If you are a coffee drinker who likes a little creamer in it, now is not the time to run out! Whether you like powdered non-dairy or the liquid creamy style, these are a must! Both options can be flavored your way too!

If you have run out of the boxed pancake or waffle mix, don’t worry. You can make your own! If you want to step up your breakfast try our Banana Pancakes or Pumpkin Waffles!

Speaking of breakfast, we love cinnamon rolls. These make a sweet breakfast or a tasty dessert.

English muffins are one of my favorite breakfast breads. BUT they also are the perfect base for a quick pizza lunch or grilled cheese!

Biscuits and Gravy are always  a win in our home. These biscuits with this sausage gravy will help you win breakfast!
Lunch & Dinner

You can also dress up a simple can of soup like this version of canned tomato soup.

Taco night is not the same without delicious refried beans. The best thing, in my opinion, is that they also make a great snack, lunch or salad topper!

Homemade Snacks

Popcorn is a great snack. With all the isolation, we plan on watching quite a few movies which means we need lots of popcorn. You can buy microwave popcorn, but buying kernels in bulk is so much cheaper and can be made on the stove top or in an instant pot super easily! You can also do your own microwave popcorn bags!

Don’t forget that you can make your own popcorn seasoning too!

One thing that we have found being in this isolation is that we like to snack. Whipping up this easy Southwestern Dip makes it easy to eat a ton of veggies!

Bread and Butter Pickles make a delicious snack, addition to a cheese board or of course o cheeseburger.

Soft pretzels are one of our favorite snacks. We dip them into mustard, cheese dip or even pizza sauce!

Applesauce is one of my kids’ favorite ways to eat apples. If they are running low on the jars or squeeze pouches at the store, just make your own. P.S. It tastes so much better!

My kids love chocolate milk and what is better than homemade chocolate milk mix!

Jam is essential. I really like mixed berry but this pineapple looks amazing too. If you have an instant pot, these recipes might be perfect for you!
