I work hard to balance things for my family. We are striving to eat better, to eat organically, to eat nutritiously, and to eat yummy food! Oh, and did I mention eat on a budget! Our family feels these meals are:
  • My meal plans are FREE!  (Your visiting my site keeps the lights on so to speak, no extra charge!)
  • My meals are nutritious & well balanced!
  • My meals are thrifty! (we pinch pennies by making good use of what foods are in season) Groceries cost our family of 5 about $125/week
  • My food is yummy! (These are all recipes my family loves; we include a dessert once a week and seasonal favorites)
  • My food is “real” and my family chooses to buy at least the dirty dozen organic!   (If you are looking for menus with boxed items, this is probably not for you)

November Meal Planner

In November our home gardens are being closed up. The meal planner will incorporate seasonal items like pumpkins and gourds and lots of warm-you-up soups.   Our meal plan feeds our family of 5.  So for all you busy moms out there – dinner is served {and you didn’t even have to plan it!}

Week 1:





Monday Fruit & Granola (use coconut oil) Lime-Cilantro Quinoa Salad Sweet Chili & Cornbread Caramelized Pumpkin Seeds
Tuesday Oatmeal w/ fruit Leftover Sweet Chili & Cornbread Pumpkin & Cashew Stir Fry**
Brown Rice

Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit English Muffin Pizza (w/ tomato sauce, cheese & olives) Souffle** Carrots
Thursday Blueberry Muffin  Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich**
Grilled chicken (BBQ sauce opt)
acorn squash
Green Beans
Friday Farmer Eggs** with 2-3 potatoes, 1 pepper  & 2 eggs per person)
with juice
Baked potato with cheese, sour cream, and broccoli baked beans & fresh bread** Apple
Saturday Pumpkin Waffles** with maple syrup Leftover baked beans & fresh bread** Cheese, black olive & Pepper Pizza

*save 1 pizza crust for Monday

*Granola makes 20-24 servings – save the rest for other days on menu (keeps in air tight container for 2-3 weeks)

Monday Fruit & Granola Calzone (using saved crust) Pumpkin- Apple Soup Leftover Apple with Peanut Butter Dip
Tuesday Oatmeal with fruit Leftover  Soup
Lg Baked Sweet Potato (topped with mixture of 2 TAB each butter, brown sugar, oats + marshmallows)
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit Quesadilla (cheese or PB & choc chips)
Tortillas shells (save 1/2 for tomorrow lunch)
Orange Couscous Chicken
Peanut Honey Power balls
Thursday Banana Bread Egg Salad Wrap (with leftover tortilla from yesterday)
Spinach for small salad
Stir Fry (Broccoli & red pepper & onoin with 1 cup nuts) on brown rice fruit
Friday Fried Eggs + Fruit leftovers Eggplant Parmesan, pasta & sauce popcorn
Saturday pancakes Bratwurst topped 2 TAB buter cookes with chopped 3 onions & 2 apples on bun Cheese & Veggie Pizza cucumber slices
Sunday Smoothie Lasagna
Small Spinach salad
Leftover Lasagna
Garlic Bread

Week 3:

Monday Fruit & Granola Spinach Salad with berries, candied nuts, and feta, cranberries & red onion Refried Bean Burritos w/ cheese & sour cream on homemade tortilla shells fruit
Tuesday Oatmeal with fruit Leftover Refried Bean Burritos Chicken Paprika Stew (with 1lb chicken only an no potato pierogies) granola
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit Leftover Soup
Bread (suggestion in recipe **)
Scalloped Potatoes**

Thursday Homemade Applesauce (make the day before & save leftovers!) Pickle Sandwich on homemade bread** Veggie Burgers on homemade buns
Sweet Potato Fries
Friday Spinach/garden Omelet (add ground mustard & nutmeg) hummus on homemade Pita with peppers Reuben Sandwich
Saturday Homemade Cinnamon Rolls leftover Cheese & Pepperoni Pizza Homemade Applesauce

Week 4:

Monday Fruit & Granola leftover hummus on pita, peppers Spaghetti Squash w/sauce + cheese & Homemade Bread** apple with peanut butter
Tuesday Oatmeal with fruit Peanut Butter & Jelly on Homemade Bread** Ground Beef Tacos (with onion, lettuce & tomato) on homemade tortilla shells granola
Wednesday Yogurt & Fruit Leftover Tacos Grilled Pear & Cheese
and Sweet Potato Fries
Thursday Homemade Applesauce (if leftover, apple if not) Appetizers before/after Thanksgiving meal Turkey (Thanksgiving Menu) Granola
Friday Scrambled Eggs
Potatoes & Green Peppers
Open faced Turkey Sandwiches (use up your leftovers!) Leftover Turkey Pot pie popcorn

First off, because I know you are going to ask, where is the Menu {free} printable?  I know I usually have free printables for everything! But I think it will be more helpful to you if you just read the menu {this post} on your smart phone, ipad, or computer. All the recipes are hyperlinked for your convenience! {This is how I am cooking now too}

You can also pull up your shopping list from your smart phone, but I know sometimes it is easier to print this off to add your own notes {things you already have, add’l household supplies you need, etc.} Each weekly shopping list contains everything you need to make the recipes that week.  Easy Peasy!
