1 teaspoonbaking soda
1/2 cupbuttermelted
1cupgranulated sugar
5largeeggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1 cup whole milk
1cupevaporated milk
1cupcondensed milk
1 1/2cupheavy cream
1cupfine white sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
sliced strawberriesgarnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.
In a medium sized bowl mix flour, baking powder, butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Pour batter into the prepared pan and cook for 30 minutes.
Take the cake out of the oven and prick the cake all over with fork.
In a bowl mix 1 cup each of the tres leches: whole milk, evaporated milk, and condensed milk. When the milks are well blended, pour the mixture over the cake slowly so the cake can absorb the milks.
Now in a bowl mix the frosting. Whip heavy cream, fine white sugar, and vanilla until thick. Spread the whipped cream frosting over the cake. Top with sliced strawberries. This cake is best the first day, but if there are any leftovers, keep them refrigerated.
