Ingredients
1/2cupwalnut pieces
1/4cupgranulated sugarI use extra fine
3cupssalad greens
1cupslced pears, chopped apples, or cranberries
1/2cupcrumbled Gorgonzola cheese
Dressing
1Tablespoonolive oil
1Tablespoonraspberry vinaigrett
1Tablespoonwhite vinegar
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, toss in some walnuts and sugar. Keep stirring until the sugar melts into a beautiful light brown syrup that perfectly coats the nuts. Once done, spread them out on a cutting board or parchment paper to cool
In a small bowl or measuring cup, combine the vinaigrette, vinegar, and olive oil. Once combined, drizzle this delicious dressing over your salad greens for a burst of flavor
Sprinkle on top of your salad the gorgonzola cheese, candied walnuts, and cranberries / sliced pears / choopped apples
