Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F and get ready to bake! Start by lining your cookie sheets with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
In a mixing bowl, combine shortening, sugar, peanut butter, milk, and vanilla extract, blending until the mixture is nice and creamy. Then, add in an egg and mix until fully incorporated
Next, gently fold in the baking soda, salt, and flour until everything is well combined
For perfectly even sized cookies, grab a cookie scoop and portion out 1-inch cookie balls. Place them 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet for even baking
Gently press down on the cookie with your hand to flatten it slightly. Next, pinch the bottom half to create the perfect shape for a reindeer face.
Bake each cookie sheet for about 8 minutes for delicious results
While the cookies are baking, gather your decorations for a smooth finish! Once the cookies are warm, here’s how to decorate:**Noses:** Use red M&M’s, logo-side down.**Eyes:** Add chocolate chips, pointy side up.**Antlers:** Carefully place chocolate pretzels on top, near the center for stability. Gently press them down to secure.
Allow your cookies to finish cooling completely before storing in an airtight container for up to a week.
