Ingredients
1 1/2cupsall-purpose flour
1 1/2cupsold fashioned rolled oats
1 1/2 cupsbrown sugarpacked
3/4teaspoonbaking soda
1/4teaspoonsalt
1cupbuttermelted
2Tablespoonsbuttermelted
14ozbag of caramels, softunwrapped
1/2cupheavy cream
1 1/2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 350°F.In medium bowl, combined flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and butter. Mix well.
Reserve 2/3 cup and set is aside. Press remaining batter on the bottom of 13×9 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
Meanwhile, in a non-stick skillet, melt caramels and cream until smooth.
Sprinkle baked crust with chocolate chips.
Pour melted caramel mixture over the choclate chips.
Sprinkle with reserved 2/3 cup crust crumbs.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until almost firm.
Bars will be slightly soft in the middle when removed from the oven, but will set as they cool.
