Punctuation Game

Here is another great game for kids to practice skills they are learning at school. This game is geared at 1st graders, but can be easily adapted to K-2nd graders.

Print out cards on cardstock with optional front. During your turn draw 1 card. Cards are simple sentences with vocabulary at 1st grade level. Move a marker to the next punctuation that matches the card you read. Now it is the next player’s turn. Continue drawing on your turn until you end up at the Finish. For Kindergartners you can read the card to them.

  3. This is GREAT!!! I love the dinosaur theme! We are working on punctuation right now too, so it's perfect timing!!! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thank you!!! We have been looking for dinosaur themes for our 1st grader. Thank you!!!

  5. Why is this offered for free download here and for 1.99 in your Teachers Pay Teachers store? I just bought it and now found it here (looking for instructions on how to, play since those were not included in the 1.99 download). I feel ripped off.

    1. Chelle,

      Most of my printables are free for personal families to use and for homeschooling families. They can be purchased for teachers to use in group setting in my TPT store. Thanks for the heads up about the instructions in the TPT edition, I will get that updated ASAP.

      If you are a homeschooler, I'm glad you found me and a I encourage you to follow along where you will always keep up-to-date with all my FREEBIES for homeschooling families. If you are a teacher I am sure you appreciate the enormous amount of time preparing educational printable takes and therefore why I feel it is appropriate to charge (only $1.99) for use in group setting to help offset my time to provide for my family.

      Have a great day!
      Beth =)

    2. Chelle,

      Teachers work very hard and that is one of the reasons the Teachers Pay Teachers site was started; to help teachers help each other with ideas, crafts and earnings. Homeschoolers do not have the resources that teachers do through their district or school and many homeschooling families cannot afford very much. I purchase items from Teachers Pay Teachers and I also get them free when I can, but I always Pin on Pinterest to help bloggers and I leave feedback in the comments section which is so essential for these sites.

  6. I homeschool and this activity is perfect for my two little kiddos! Thank you!

  7. Hello Beth, I have found such fantastic games for my kids like your Dinosaur Bone punctuation, Marshmallow Noun, and Smore Sentences game. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but files are being saved as E pdf and I can't open the games after downloading is complete. Could you please help? Thank you in advance.
