ReplyDeleteOooh, looks awesome! Putting the button on my blog now :)
ReplyDeleteWOW! This is so nice. Can't wait for more.
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Christmas Gift Baskets Sydney
I'm so looking forward to being a part of this!
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas around the world sounds like a great series of posts. I was wondering if you are still looking for bloggers to participate? We live in Germany and I would love to do a post for that country. Let me know.
ReplyDeletejmommymom, Thanks for your willingness to share with us =-)
ReplyDeleteWe do already have Germany taken care of. But feel free to leave a link if you do write a post about Christmas in Germany!
Beth
I definitely be book-marking your page for these.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, going to have to figure these out. My little one's birthday is mid-November, so it seems the holidays are non-stop from there. I've been trying to calm down December and focus Christmas on the 12 days AFTER. I have been trying to be a bit counter-culture doing our Christmas this way. I really want to learn about 32 different cultures with Christmas as the "hook" into geography. It's definitely a subject I am lacking in and could use the help in for my kinder-age girl. I have a hard time keeping her out of Christmas materials all year. (Watching Prancer and Polar Express throughout the year and reading Charlie Brown's Christmas and A Vist from St. Nicholas too.) Using Christmas material MAY just be one of my hooks into learning for her.
Gearing up for this!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you. I wanted to do Christmas around the World this year but struggled with how to do it. You have helped make this easier for me. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! I have a question, though, will the links for each country stay up throughout the time, or just for the one day? Like, say, if we miss a day can we make it up or do we just miss out?
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this! Looks like a great daily adventure.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea, bringing different cultures together!
I see you have Croatia listed, I am so glad!
If you need some more information of our Christmas tradition, I would be happy to help.
Ana@carpe_diem
This looks wonderful - thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! We look forward to it. We use MFW CC. Check out my sons blog for some cool LEGO creations that he has done during his studies.

Thanks Again!
We are Canadians living in Mexico. My son is really excited to add Christmas traditions of other cultures to his learning. Thanks so much for this!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to doing this with my kids. I'm going to include the high schoolers too though :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the hard work and sharing it with all of us.
What a tremendous amount of time you have put into this! Thank You so much for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteThank you, this is wonderful! We will be using this in our 6th grade home school.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this cool resource. I teach in a tiny multi-grade school and we'll be using as many pages as I can reasonably do between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break.
ReplyDeleteOne small typo I noticed on the England page. The answer under the London Bridge question has "left" twice when I think you mean "right" on one of them.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this! I too have shared it both on Facebook and in our homeschool community!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect for us, as we're doing an around the world homeschool curriculum this year (MFW ECC).
ReplyDeleteLove it! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this BUT... as it is a new country every day, will we get a list of craft materials and cooking ingredients in advance? Please?
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
I'm excited to be participating in Christmas Around the World! (I'm planning already for my post on Dec. 12.) Thanks so much for all your amazing work organizing the series and creating the free eBook, Beth! You've done a totally FABULOUS job! In addition to adding the button to my blog sidebar, I featured your Christmas Around the World eBook as a Free Printable of the Day at the Living Montessori Now Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/LivingMontessoriNow (and on Pinterest)
ReplyDeleteOK I'm lost! Where is the link to yesterdays country and to today's country??????
ReplyDeleteBeth I cant believe the timing on this! We are picking 4 of the countries - one for each week in December and pairing it with our Little Passports learnings...HOW FUN! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHi Beth! I tried to link up my China post, but my internet here has been really bad for a couple of weeks. I wasn't able to post with my thumbnail properly displaying. Can you go into the linky to fix it? If not, can you perhaps help me to repost my link? So sorry for the hassle. I didn't see that I could delete my post and try it again. Here is the link if you need it.... http://www.sunscholars.com/2012/11/christmas-around-world-china.html
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for letting me be a part of this great series!
Korina - loo up above. There are two buttons linked up on from The Iowa Farmer's Wife for Brazil and one from Sun Scholars for China.
ReplyDeleteRachel - all fixed =-)
Melissa - YEAH!! I love it when timing works out =-)
Nashie - as each individual blogger is taking care of a specific country I do not have a master list. Feel free to do what you like or wait for next year and I will get together a craft list =-)
Beth
Thank you for putting this together! I have taught second grade for many years and I now homeschool my first grader. This is exactly what I have been looking for all these years. The only thing I wish I could add is a traditional Christmas story from each country. Book form would be amazing, but I realize that may be a stretch. I am looking forward to every new country!!!
ReplyDeleteMy son built The Great Wall of China out of LEGOS today. We posted a link to your site. Check it out here http://www.buildinglegoswithchrist.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteEnjoy and thanks again!
Another site with lots of info.

Anyone else waiting for today???
ReplyDeleteAlicia - it is coming.....from Mom to 2Posh Lil Divas so it will be worth the wait :)
ReplyDeleteHello! Great idea! However...I can't seem to download the ebook. :/ The link just brings me to a "page not found" site. Any chance you can renew the links?
ReplyDeleteThe Stitch Poet - The link is still working with 25 people viewing it at the same time as I checked this morning. Make sure you are click on the white covered ebook picture. Also take a read through my Downloading FAQ here - http://www.livinglifeintentionally.blogspot.com/2012/08/download-files-help.html
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Beth =-)
I also could not get the link to work yesterday last night at home or this morning at work. (Yesterday afternoon at work was fine). The error I get when clicking on the white covered ebook picture is a google "Error 500. That’s an error.
ReplyDeleteThere was an error. Please try again later. That’s all we know"
Lena,
ReplyDeleteAt times it is browser specific or just the sheer numbers of those looking at the document. You can always email me if you can't get it to work livinglifeintentionallyblog (at) gmail.com
Where are the links for Mexico and today's link? I found the Mexico blog post by using the link provided in the Argentina post. I love this series and find it a nice way to change up homeschooling for Christmas. Thank you for doing this!
ReplyDeleteI love that you have Nicaragua! Such a diverse group of countries represented so far, and it's only December 3rd:). Can't wait to see more posts get linked up!! Becky (from www.kidworldcitizen.org)
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant idea. I am in the UK and my boys are 6 and 7 and I am looking forward to expanding our horizons, Thank you
ReplyDeleteBeth, you have done a marvelous job with this wonderful blog hop! I'm enjoying reading and pinning each post. Thank you so much for this enlightening idea!
ReplyDeleteLoving this series, btu i wanted to let you know i'm having trouble printing both italy sections
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you so much for doing this! We are loving it!
ReplyDeleteI'm putting together a list of Christmas-specific websites for each country. If I post it on my blog, can I add a link to it above? Also, we've spent 5 Christmases in Indonesia, and this will be our second in Malaysia. If I blog about Christmas here, could I add that link as well? I thought people might enjoy having some options for the "choose your own country" page.
Thanks!
Tina
This looks great and I'd love to do it but I've tried downloading this several times and each time the .pdf show just black splotches where the text should be. Can you tell me what might the issue?
ReplyDeleteBeth, I've spelt Egypt wrong, can you edit the link up please. Sorry
ReplyDeleteMy son built a LEGO micro build of St. Basil Cathedral for our Russia study. Check it out here!
ReplyDeletehttp://buildinglegoswithchrist.blogspot.com/2012/12/russia-st-basil-cathedral-homeschooling.html
Thanks for hosting this event!
Looks great
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU SO MUCH, as a home schooling mum this has made our Christmas studies so much easier this year and I am absolutely stoked the passport isn't just for Americans as I can use it here in New Zealand!
ReplyDeleteMany of the links for Nicaragua are incorrect. The first one sends to Canada info, the second sends to Nat.Geo Site.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy I came across this site!! I have been searching for some activities to do in December for my newly home schooled son as we both slowly dive in to this new experience. This is going to be perfect! I will share this on my facebook page facebook.com/centeredlittlehearts so others can enjoy it as well!
ReplyDeleteI realize this is an older post, but I am a teacher and would love to use your materials with my class. I went to your TPT store and was disappointed that you weren't selling your ebook there. Is there another place I can ethically download it to use with my class?
ReplyDeleteFor this specific product you are welcome to use the free copy at home or in a classroom =) Enjoy!
